leafless oak tree
I recognise my self
the wind and I
belong nowhere really –
a seagull’s cry
empty cathedral –
the sparrow and the ivy
weave new hymns
salt-and-pepper sky –
the season’s palette
leaves without a sound
waking up
with a morning cuppa –
buffering
I keep searching
for myself –
a Sphinx’s mirror
coffee
and a cat’s squint –
oasis
embracing her wild
she allowed dragons
of fear to perch –
sharing their gold wings
they taught her to fly
dewy dawn review –
hardiness as extolled
by flowers
each time I think I’m done
life winks and says not today
